Previously our customer’s property was heated by electric storage and panel heaters utilising an off peak tarrif. After a site visit we proposed that an ASHP was both suitable for the property and met the customers goals. Additionally our joiners manufactured an insulated bespoke canopy to protect the ASHP from the elements and enhance the systems performance.

Model: PUHZ-W112 VAA heat pump installed with the Mitsubishi smart ready Electric FTC6 flow temperature controller.

Data Summary… one full year of running the ASHP

Overall property electrical usage:

Pre ASHP: Oct 2020 to Sept 2021, property used 22,811 kWh

Post ASHP: Oct 2021 to Sept 2022, property used 12,801 kWh

Heating & hot water electrical usage:

Pre ASHP: Oct 2020 to Sept 2021, property used 14,890 kWh

Post ASHP: Oct 2021 to Sept 2022, property used 4,880 kWh

“We have been collecting data on our energy usage for many years and the ASHP has a very nice app to track this. We are very happy with the level of savings and the operation of the ASHP. In the three months: December, January and February, we used 2,228KWh for heating and hot water. The previous year, before the heat pump we used 6,814KWh in the same time period. So this year we have used 67% less energy for heating and hot water.  We are very pleased with the heat pump. The house has been lovely and warm throughout. We also have a bigger hot water tank, and the bath fills up much more quickly with the new water pump.  Thank you for a great job!”
